Each year, The Rev. S. Howard Woodson Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund awards high school seniors who plan to continue their education through an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college or university.


Established in 2003, it is a one-year $1,000 scholarship for college freshman. Scholarships are awarded to students from the metropolitan Trenton area.

It is our honor to offer these scholarships in the name of the Reverend Samuel Howard Woodson Jr., who spent a lifetime fighting for the rights of all people.

After reviewing all of this year’s applications, the Rev. S. Howard Woodson Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee selected 11 scholarship awards winners:
