"Grief, Technology, and Inter-Generation Family Support in the COVID Era"
TRAUMA:
Families are traumatized in the COVID-19 era from disruption in their grief rituals, Family members are dying alone with compounds grief!
TECHNOLOGY:
It has been Dr. Rev. Darrel L. Armstrong's position that technology (Zoom or Skype) convenings for families before, during, and even after the service can be incredible healing opportunities.
THEOLOGY:
We will employ from members of the community of Trenton and from Trenton's High School - College Students as interns and teach them the theology of death and dying.
Why Livestream?
- Bring the family together. With travel restrictions, stay at home orders, and social distancing, live streaming your funeral allows for the family to experience the
celebration of life together. - Reduce costs and risks. Live streaming allows you to reduce other costs associated with conducting a funeral. The risks associated with our current pandemic are no longer an issue with our
services. - What if I'm not comfortable using technology?
We offer technical support to make sure all the speakers are prepped with their sound, video, and
lighting. For hybrid events, we have a technical support person on-site to help you and all attendees with connection to the audiovisual systems - determining the optimal position and settings for cameras/microphone. We will operate all of the technical aspects, leaving you free to participate with peace of mind. - Will it be difficult for our family and friends to attend the online memorial service?
No, it will not be difficult to participate. Your attendees will simply click on a link and they will be able to connect from any Internet-enabled computer or mobile device. If you have elderly attendees who may have trouble logging in for a private service we recommend our optional service to livestream to Facebook or YouTube.

Video Memoir of Photos and Videos - $100
Professionally produced photo video with photos you provide and using music selected by you. Overall, a 15-min video with up to 50 photos, 5 3-min videos, and 3 songs. We will play the video before the service.
DIGITAL GUEST BOOK - $25
A digital copy of messages sent on the zoom meeting meant for the immediate family members. A digital guestbook creates a safe, accessible platform for those who want to support the family and leave memories of the deceased to do so.
GRAVESIDE GATHERING - $300
If you would like a graveside service live video option to add immediately following the service, we can accommodate that for you. The main service connection will be maintained with a still photo and music and guests will be invited to keep their connection open or rejoin at the time of the graveside service.
